Product Review: Bella Vita Wine and Olive Oil Bags

The Ranting Reviewer does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufacturers or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.

Seeing  a package on my doorstep makes me smile.

I smiled even more when I opened the box. Inside was a great collection of wine and olive oil bags from Bella Vita Bags. Wine bag you ask? Certainly. Whether you take wine for a gift or to drink elsewhere, Bella Vita has you covered.

Two of the bags had some wine themed prints.

These others are made from handmade paper. These have a great feel and each came with a decorative touch. They must know me well to include a chili decorated bag. The middle one has quite a bit of texture with the embossed grape cluster. The third one shown has the olive theme and is smaller to hold a bottle of your favorite gourmet or flavored olive oil.

This handmade paper one had a nice window to show the label of the olive oil you would include.

As for bags that you would re-use, Bella Vita provided this cloth wine bag with a rope handle that is wrapped in silk. This classy bag would be perfect to bring a nice bottle of red.

Travelling with a white or blush that you want to keep cold, the Chill-It is for you. It is plastic with pockets of liquid built into all the sides. Photo Jun 23, 9 41 56 AM

After a short while in the freezer, the bag is ready to go. Simply slide in your chilled bottle and the bag will help keep it cold. I tested this bottle sitting out at room temperature and after more than an hour, it was just as cold as if I had just pulled it from the refrigerator. No need to pack a cooler, just carry this bag and enjoy your cold wine anywhere you go.

This one perplexed me at first. What looks to be an electric stove burner….

turns into a wine net! It collapses flat so it can be easily stored and can even double as a big coaster or trivet, but set a bottle of wine in the center and pull up the handles, and you have wine to go. Set it down and let go of the handles and it returns to its shape, leaving the bottle standing alone.

Here is the whole collection showing off by holding all the wine in my house at the time.

My Take: Bella Vita Bags makes some very cool bags. The printed bags are good, but are similar to many I have seen elsewhere. The handmade paper ones make a gift of a bottle into something more memorable. The reusable cloth and Chill-It bags are great solutions for bringing your wine elsewhere. If you are gifting, skip the bow and add a little class to your gift. If you are travelling with wine, look at the stylish solutions Bella Vita Bags has developed. You can purchase the bags at many local wine shops or at Amazon.
