The Ranting Reviewer does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufacturers or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.
Recently, I was able to cover the 2014 International Home and Housewares show in Chicago as a media representative from the blogging community. While there I was able to spend some time at a number of booths and see some really interesting products. This product was being displayed at the show.
Today I am going to take a look at the GreenPan I Love Meat Grill Pan.
The I Love Meat Grill Pan is part of the GreenPan line of 3D cookware. The Meat version has ridges to provide those nice grill marks that you want on mean and poultry. The Fish and Vegetables version has a dimpled surface on the inside of the pan to help those items prevent food from sticking to the bottom while frying. The last version in the set, Eggs and Pancakes, is smooth on the inside to allow those foods to slide smoothly on the bottom.
The grill pan is both a great alternative for when you can’t use your grill, and to also cook items that may not work well on your grill (like the corn above).
The GreenPan Grill Pan has a ceramic coating that makes it an excellent non-stick surface.
The pan cleans up well and is dishwasher safe. It is usable on all cooktops except induction and can withstand heat up to 450 degrees.
My Take: I liked the pan. It has some heft to it, but it is not overly heavy. The I Love Meat Grill Pan is as advertised. It is easy to use, easy to clean and made indoor grilling a breeze. The food lifts right out of the pan (no scraping needed) and it leaves great looking grill marks on the food. I was able to use it for larger items and smaller ones (like roasting that corn). If you don’t have a grill pan, I think you should check out the GreenPan I Love Meat Grill Pan.
