The Knife Glider arrived the other day.
The Knife Glider is a unique kitchen tool to help you slice, chop and peel all while saving your fingers from nicks and cuts.
Made from BPA free tough plastic, The Knife Glider is designed to be easy to hold and use.
The Knife Glider has a collapsible handle to make it easy to store in a kitchen drawer. Let’s put it to use.
One way is to push the food up against The Knife Glider and use a slot to cut in.
Nice even cuts and your hand is out of the way.
The other way is to place The Knife Glider on the food and use the face of it as a shield against your knife. I found this to be easier.
It holds all kinds of food.
Don’t want your hands to touch raw chicken? No problem. The Knife Glider to the rescue.
This attachment is built to hold meat in place.
I used it for jalapeños that I didn’t want to get the hot oils on my hands.
It was great for holding on to this red cabbage.
Makes it easy to slice.
The peeler attachment makes it easy to hold on to veggies as you peel them.
My take: If you spend any time around professional chefs or even prolific home cooks, you will find that everyone has sliced into their fingers multiple times. The Knife Glider is built to keep that from happening to you. It is versatile and easy to store and clean (dishwasher safe). While someone truly experienced with knives may not choose to regularly use it, it is ideal for new cooks and those who are nervous while cutting and chopping. The Knife Glider can be purchased here.
