This silicone egg ring allows you to make your egg into a circle (the shape down on the pan).
Or a square. Why is that important? Let’s see.
Breakfast sandwich time! Here I have round bread (English Muffin), round meat (sausage patty) and round cheese (provolone).
If I don’t use that egg ring, this is what I get. My egg is all over the place. Sure, it tastes the same, but part of the appeal of food is how it looks. We can do better. Time to pull out the Reversible Egg Ring.
Heat your pan. While it heats up, I like to apply a thin coating of oil on the inside of the ring and a little in the pan. Place the ring on the pan with the circle side down and the lifter pointing up. Crack your egg inside (I like my yolk broken). Cook for a few minutes.
The Reversible Egg Ring slides right off leaving your round egg. I’ll keep you in suspense for the final picture.
Lookie here. Square bread. Square cheese (white cheddar) and rectangle meat (which when broken correctly and laid next to each other makes a square).
Again, without an egg ring, this just looks sloppy. Time for a square egg.
Same as above but with the square shape against the pan.
Perfect eggs for perfect sandwiches.
